Lithuania’s Dainius Antanaitis has triumphed in the solo mixed-games event on the 2023 World Series of Poker Europe slate, winning Event #10, €2,000 Eight-Game Mix, on Thursday. Antanaitis joined the list of first-time bracelet winners that have emerged from the ongoing WSOP Europe festival, which is entering its final week of action.
Antanaitis’s win was worth €47,770 (about US $51,175) and marked his first-ever WSOP cash. Most of Antanaitis’s live cashes over the past 15 years have come in smaller mixed-games and PLO events at eastern European casinos, and Thursday’s win was also his biggest career payday to date.
Antanaitis routs runner-up Ian Bradley during heads-up play
The event came down to a duel between Antanaitis and the United Kingdom’s Ian Bradley after Antanaitis sent South Korea’s Wooram Cho to the rail in third. The heads-up duel wnt entirely Antanaitis’s way, with the Lithuanian soon claiming the last of Bradley’s chips in a hand of Omaha Hi-Lo.
Bradley still earned €29,525 as the runner-up while Cho collected €20,640 for third. The finale had plenty of star power that busted early on; online superstar Viktor “Isildur1” Blom finished fifth, two-time bracelet winner Oleksii Kovalchuk took sixth, and WSOP event-cashing machine Roland Israelashvili placed seventh. Other famed pros making the money included Max Pescatori (10th), and Nacho Barbero (15th).
The event drew 63 plyers who also contributed 34 re-entries, creating a total prize pool of €170,477. The top 15 players cashed. The final-table finishers and payouts in Event #10, €2,000 Eight-Game Mix, were as follows:
